  • Archbishop John will lead the Archdiocesan pilgrimage to to World Youth Day in Korea from Monday 2nd to Monday 9th August, for those aged 18-35.

    Cost and Booking Information
    The cost of the pilgrimage is expected to be approximately £3,000. This is in line with projected costs from other UK dioceses.

    The price is expected to include:

    • Flights
    • Accommodation (shared rooms)
    • Insurance
    • Meals
    • Local transport
    • World Youth Day registration
    • Final costs will be confirmed once flights and accommodation are released, which is expected to be around 11 months before travel.

    Commitment Deposit

    • To help us understand who is seriously intending to take part, we are now asking for a £200 commitment deposit, payable by 31 May 2026 (see link below).

    • To help us understand who is seriously intending to take part, we are now asking for a £200 commitment deposit, payable by 31 May 2026 (see link below).
    • This deposit secures your priority access to booking, but does not yet guarantee a place.
    • Places will be allocated once travel arrangements are confirmed, primarily in order of deposits received.
    • The deposit is fully refundable until 31 May 2026.
    • After this date, deposits will become non-refundable, except if we are unable to offer you a place or if there is a change to the overall cost.
    • Once flights and accommodation are released, we will confirm how many pilgrims we are able to take and invite those with allocated places to proceed to the next stage of booking.
    • We are doing everything we can to make this pilgrimage possible for as many young people as possible and will keep you updated as plans develop.
