Pembroke Rescue Squad Venue Rental Agreement and Contract
This agreement sets the standard terms for customer rental imposed by Pembroke Rescue Squad, Inc. By reserving and renting this venue, the purchasing customer agrees to these stipulations and rules of conduct. Pembroke Rescue Squad, Inc. has the authority to deny use of the venue to any person or persons at anytime and for any reason.
1. As a renter, I am only receiving a license for the agreed upon venue space which may be limited to the rental time that has been reserved and paid for. The Venue Provider may restrict your access to the premises for any reason immediately before and after your rental time has started and expired.
2. I must not act in a manner that, in the Venue Provider's sole discretion, does or is likely to adversely affect the peaceful operation of the premises.
3. I will not use the premises for illegal purposes or in any manner that could tarnish the reputation of the Venue Provider or their premises.
4. I will not tamper with, borrow, or remove any property kept on the premises.
5. I will not cause or permit any hazardous substance to be used, stored, generated, released or disposed of on or in the premises.
6. I understand that I must maintain my rental area and the common areas of the premises in a neat, clean and in a sanitary condition.
7. I will be held solely responsible for the agreed upon rental area, including any common areas. I will be held accountable for any injury or damages sustained during the duration of the rental and occupancy on the premises.
8. I will be held liable for any guest, invitee, or visitor actions on the premises.
9. Any signs, symbols, or other objects displayed on the premises must be approved by the Venue Provider, and must be removed immediately following the event.
10. As a renter, I understand that in order to have alcoholic beverages on the premises I must possess a vailed Special Occasion Permit from the NC ABC Commission and a copy of the permit be provided to PRS prior to the event. I also understand that an off-duty, uniformed Law Enforcement Officer must be hired at your expense and be present at all times during the event.
11. I understand that all garbage, food and perishable items must be removed from the building at the conclusion of the event.
12. I understand that a refundable, cash, cleaning deposit of $250.00 for a large event or $100 for a small event is due at the time of booking.
13. I understand that the rental balance is due within 48 hours of the event.
14. I understand that tables and chairs are limited. If additional chairs, tables or other props are needed it is the responsibility of the renter to provided at your cost additional items.
15. I understand that I will not place nails, stick pins, tape, glue or other objects that will damage walls. I understand that I may lose my deposit if walls are damaged by decorations.
16. I understand that my event must be concluded by 1:00 a.m.
17. Your Deposit is expected upon submission of this form. Cancelations Require a 10-day written notification prior to the date of the event to receive a deposit refund.
18. I understand that my deposit will be held for any violation in this contract.
Neither Pembroke Rescue Squad, Inc. , nor their respective agents shall be liable for, and Renter agrees to defend and hold Pembroke Rescue Squad, Inc. and their respective agents harmless from, any claim, action and/or judgment for damages to property or injury to persons suffered or alleged to be suffered on the Premises by any person, firm or corporation.
Renter shall indemnify, defend and hold Pembroke Rescue Squad, Inc., harmless from and against all loss, cost and expense, including attorney’s fees, arising from any act, omissions of negligence of Licensee or its officers, contractors, licensees, agents, servants, employees, guests, invitees or visitors in or about the Property. The foregoing provisions shall not be construed to make Renter responsible for loss, damage, liability or expense resulting from injuries to third parties caused solely by the gross negligence or intentional misconduct of Pembroke Rescue Squad, Inc., or their officers, contractors, licensees, agents, employees of other tenant of the Property. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law. The parties have specifically negotiated and mutually agreed upon the provisions of this paragraph.
