Dorseyville Middle School is dedicated to providing enriching educational experiences that go beyond the traditional classroom setting, and we believe this upcoming event will be both engaging and educational for your child. On January 27, 2026, students will participate in DMS Afternoon of Service. The experience will run from 1:30-3:00 pm.
Our dedicated teachers have been asked to submit proposals/ideas that will engage students in acts of service. To give a few examples, some of the ideas that have been submitted include:
Calm the Kennels – Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh
Paper Flower Bouquets – Concordia Nursing Home
Cornhole Boards – The Children’s Institute
Health & Beauty “Go Kits” – Urban Impact Pittsburgh
To ensure the success of this event, we kindly ask for your support. We are seeking donations of various items that will contribute to the hands-on and interactive nature of the learning activities. We have an AMAZON WISH LIST to cover many items or a Monetary Donation, on this page, to cover items not on the Wish List. We greatly appreciate any contributions you can make.
Your support will directly impact the quality of the learning experience and enhance the educational opportunities we can provide for our students. We understand that not everyone may be able to contribute, and any assistance is genuinely appreciated.
To streamline the process, our Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) will be coordinating the dissemination of information and the collection of donated items.
We would like to express our gratitude in advance for your continued support of our school and your child's education. Together, we can make this learning experience a memorable and enriching one for our students.
Thank you for being an essential part of our school community.
Sincerely,
Jon Nauhaus and Laura Miller
