Current International Health Certificate Rates
Initial International Health Certificate Consultation: $100.00
(During this consultation, we will review the current requirements for travel to your chosen destination, review the medical records you have provided to confirm that your pet is up-to-date with all required vaccinations, confirm that your pet’s rabies certificate includes an appropriate microchip number, and determine if a preliminary examination is necessary for your pet)
Preliminary Examination: $94.00
(Typically only necessary if your pet has not been previously examined at Barnside Veterinary Hospital, is not microchipped, and/or is not up-to-date on required vaccinations or testing)
(During this examination, we will review your pet's vaccination and health history, confirm that your pet has an ISO compliant microchip, administer any required vaccinations, complete or schedule any required testing, and schedule your pet's pre-departure exam within the legally required time frame for your scheduled travel)
Pre-Departure Examination: $94.00
(This exam is typically performed within 10 days of travel. It is recommended that it be scheduled as early as possible to avoid any possible delays)
General Health Certificate and Proof of Vaccination: $28.00
(Most airlines require this certificate to be issued within 10 days of your pet's travel date)
Completion of International Health Certificate and submission of supporting documentation to USDA: $400.00
(Certificate will be completed using the USDA VEHCS platform and will be transmitted electronically to the USDA for endorsement. Once endorsed, the USDA will return the endorsed certificate to Barnside Veterinary Hospital)
USDA Health Certificate Endorsement Fee: $101.00
(This is a pass-through fee that will be paid to the USDA on your behalf)
USDA Health Certificate VEHCS Fee: $38.00
(This is a fee for the use of the USDA VEHCS portal)
USDA Expedited Document Delivery Fee: $100.00
(This fee is only charged for international health certificates that cannot be electronically endorsed by the USDA. If necessary, the certificate will be delivered to Barnside Veterinary Hospital, via overnight shipping, once it has been endorsed by the USDA. Barnside Veterinary Hospital has no control over the timing of USDA endorsements, and it is recommended that you schedule your pet's pre-departure exam as early as legally possible. Once the endorsed certificate is received by Barnside Veterinary Hospital, you will be notified that the certificate is available for pickup during our regular business hours)
Additional USDA Expedited Document Delivery Fee: $100.00
(This fee is only charged for submission of international health certificates that are not permitted to be submitted through the VEHCS portal. This is very rare.)
