Greek School Registration Form

St. George Hellenic School is ready for a very productive new school year 2025 - 2026. We would like to welcome you all back and to inform you that the first day of classes will be Saturday September 13, 2025.

Our beloved Father Chrysanthos Kerkeres and Father Joseph / Hector Abouid will bless us all with the Holy Sacrament of Agiasmos on the first day.

We would like to thank you for your commitment to the Hellenic Orthodox education and we count on your active participation in the operation of our Greek School throughout the year and your co-operation with our Principal, Teachers and the Hellenic School Committee.

As we are making the final preparations for our classes for the school year 2025 - 2026, scheduling teachers and curriculum needs, lesson plans, and educational material, it is very essential to know as soon as possible the number of students at each level. For this reason we ask that you register at your earliest convenience.

Schedule

The Greek School schedule for each Saturday is as follows:
- 9:00AM - 12:30PM: Greek School Classes
- 12:30PM - 1:30PM: Optional - Hope/Joy & Bitty Basketball
- Note: Lunch will be served to those students participating in the Hope/Joy & Bitty Basketball portion of the day. Lunch is provided free of charge for all those attending.
Under the spiritual guidance of Father Chrysanthos and Father Joseph / Hector Abouid along with the direction of our Principal Jinie Papaioannou, St George Greek Orthodox Church considers the Hellenic School as an equally essential ministry in importance with the teaching ministry of our Orthodox faith and makes every effort to keep the cost to a minimum while offering the best possible education of any Hellenic School.

The teachers, students and their parents are all part of the one family of St. George Church. Thus, as a family we work together in order to realize our goals: how to best educate our children and keep them close to and active in our Greek Orthodox faith and traditions.

Hope / Joy Bitty Basketball
The Greek School schedule for the 2025-2026 school year will be 9am 12:30pm. Hope/Joy and Bitty Basketball will be offered from 12:30-1:30pm each Saturday, on Greek School days. Participation in this program is optional and at no extra charge. Lunch will be offered to all students participating in the Hope/Joy-Bitty Basketball program, free of charge. To help us plan, please indicate below if, at this time, you are planning on having your student(s) participate in the Hope/Joy-Bitty Basketball program.

Attendance in all classes is required. A student who will be absent for 1/3 of the schoolmeeting dates in a given school year will not be promoted to the next level. Please keep in mind that the following school celebrations are part of school meeting dates: Greek Letters celebration, 25th of March Greek Independence, and End-of-school-year program.Being on time is essential for fostering learning and school operation. Classes start promptly at 9:00 am. If you arrive late, your child will miss part of the instruction and ongoing activities, and there is a disruption to the class already in progress. Excessive, habitual tardiness (+10 minutes) and/or leaving early (-15 minutes) will also have an impact on attendance; three tardies equal one absence.Families failing to pick up their student(s) immediately after the end of the scheduled school day will incur a $30 fee.Students are placed in levels based on their advancement and knowledge of the Greeklanguage. Our goal is to ensure that each student is placed in the most appropriate level for their current skills and knowledge, allowing them to thrive and progress effectively.I have read this document and fully understand its contents. I am signing this voluntarily of my own free will. By signing this I confirm I have full authority to make the authorizations granted here and that no other party’s permission is required.
