Gazebo: Stallholders may use their own structures (marquee/gazebo) that must be secured by weights. Please indicate size (3mx3m is standard).

Insurance

Stallholders must hold a current Public & Product Liability Policy. It is a requirement that all participants hold a minimum public liability for $10 million.

The Certificate of Currency must be supplied with this application by the required due date. It must also:

Include a provision that notes Yass Valley Council as an interested party for the Yass Valley Community Christmas events.
Provide confirmation that the policy covers public liability (for $10 million) and product liability.

Please check that you have appropriate cover with your insurer.

Note: Quotes, schedules or invoices will not be accepted. Stalls will not be reserved without proof of insurance.

Food Stalls/Vendors

Food vendors need to comply with the NSW Food Authority "Guidelines for Food Businesses at Temporary Events". To obtain the guidelines for temporary events refer to the NSW Food Authority website (www.foodauthority.nsw.gov.au - follow the prompts: click on 'Retail' > 'Markets & Temporary Events').

Other requirements are:

You will also need to determine if your stall requires a Food Safety Supervisor (FFS) Certificate, and if so a copy of your FFS Certificate will need to be provided with your application prior to the day of the event.
Register with Yass Valley Council by completing Form - Notification of Food Business or Food Safety Supervisor, available here. This needs to be completed prior to submission of this application form.
There is no access to power this year. All food vendors that require power must supply their own generator and cable covers.

Note: Forms can take up to 7 working days to process, these must be submitted prior to the event.

As a stallholder, I understand that:

There are limited spaces for market stallholders at this event. The Yass Valley Christmas Parade subcommittee managing the markets will determine at their discretion which applicants are successful to attend the events and which unfortunately are not.
Not all stallholder's applications will be accepted.
The subcommittee reserves the right to determine the location of your stall.
The event will go ahead regardless of weather conditions on the day. No refunds will be offered.
Stallholders are responsible for ensuring structures and displays are firmly secured in the event of wind/inclement weather.
Without the required information & compliance stated in the previous pages - the application cannot be submitted and will not be considered for inclusion in the event.
Standard stall sites are 3m x 3m.
Successful applications will be notified of their location, and bump-in/bump-out time prior to the event.
All successful stallholder applicants will have to make payment prior to the event, otherwise, your stall will not be permitted.
There is no access to power this year. All food vendors that require power must supply their own generators and cable covers.
