You Will Need: Eye and ear protection as well as a baseball style hat. Handgun - Preferably 9mm, 40 S&W or 45 ACP good holster and mag pouch with a sturdy belt. A least one, preferably two SPARE magazines. Snacks, lunch, and a chair are strongly encouraged to make the most of our time on the range Ammunition: Bring at least 250 rounds. The class will start at 8AM and we should be done between 4 and 5PM.

This course develops practical concealed-carry performance with a strong emphasis on safety, discipline, and repeatable skills. Training Includes: Low-light safety standards and range procedures, Target identification and decision-making under reduced visibility, Defensive handheld flashlight techniques (searching and shooting), Pistol fundamentals under low light (grip, sights, cadence) Equipment Required: Pistol, quality holster and belt, 3+ magazines, handheld flashlight, spare batteries, eye/ear protection, closed-toe shoes, and 250 rounds of ammunition.
Course Goals: To teach the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary for owning, carrying, and using a pistol safely and legally. Topics include: Four Cardinal Rules of Gun Safety, Firearm Storage Concepts, ¨ Pistol Types and Parts, Handgun Operations, Ammunition Types and Function, Purchasing Pistol Guidelines, Fundamentals of Defense Pistol Shooting, How to care for the firearm, Range Procedures and Commands, Live Fire Preparation Tuition includes use of a handgun and 50 rounds of 22 Long Rife ammunition.
Learn how to field strip, clean, oil, reassemble and function check your gun. Class tuition includes a caliber specific cleaning kit and a cleaning mat. Cleaning kits are available for .22 cal, 9mm, 38 Spl, 357 mag, 380, 40 S&W, 44 cal and 45 ACP.
Concealed Carry Handgun Skills builds on the skills learned in our Basic Pistol class. The course aims to give the student the skills and confidence need to carry a concealed handgun. Essential equipment includes eye and ear protection, a baseball hat, concealment garment, a handgun (preferably 9mm, 40 S&W, or 45 ACP), a good holster, mag pouch, a sturdy belt, and at least one or two spare magazines. Bring at least 400 rounds of ammunition. Topics include: Firearm safety, basic shooting positions, draw stroke techniques, different ready positions, malfunction drills, strong hand and support hand shooting, transition drills and shoot and move drills.
The goal for this entire course is to develop NRA Range Safety Officers (RSOs) who possess the knowledge, skills, and attitude essential to organizing, conducting, and supervising safe shooting activities and range operations.
