Registration Form—Let’s Mix it Up! From Watercolor to Procreate on the iPad—Cross Media Boundary Breaking Art Playshop—Learn How to Integrate Watercolor Sketches as Backgrounds for Procreate on the iPad—San Francisco, Saturday, March 14, 2026, 9am - 5pm

This one day hands-on playshop / workshop is a great opportunity for those interested in challenging themselves artistically! We are going to mix it up on and off the digital canvas! This is more than a deep into Procreate and mastering this amazing tool, it's also blending it's use with the texture and freedom of loose watercolor painting to generate your backgrounds. Within Procreate we'll cover generating a new canvas; setting up preferences; importing photos; creating a textured digital background to paint over; importing, choosing, controlling and customizing brushes (a list of recommended third party Procreate brushes will be sent out prior to class); picking color; using and understanding layers; using reference images; developing, transforming and resolving your artwork using a “color splash under line-work” technique; saving, exporting and printing the final artwork; exporting the time lapse replay recording. We will apply the techniques we've learned to drawing from direct observation. Bring your iPad and Apple Pencil fully charged with the latest Procreate app installed. Jeremy will supply some traditional art materials though you're also welcome to bring your own favorite media. The location is Jeremy Sutton Studios, 1890 Bryant St Ste 306, San Francisco CA 94110. The cost is $399 which includes complimentary color 4x6 dye-sublimation prints of your digital artworks created in class, snacks and refreshments (lunch is at own cost). Please note that class registration fee is non-refundable. All sales are final. If you cannot attend this class for any reason, your registration fee can be applied in full to any future class organized by Jeremy Sutton Studios.
