Cost:
The membership year runs from 1st April to 31st March. The majority of your subscription goes towards club membership of Mountaineering Scotland, which gives you access to affiliated club huts, discounts on mountaineering training courses, a regular magazine and, most importantly, third party liability insurance cover. It also means you are eligible to apply for British Mountaineering Council travel insurance. You will also get discount arrangements with a number of the main suppliers of outdoor equipment. As the cost of membership of Mountaineering Scotland is on a sliding scale, depending on time of joining, our membership fees follow a similar pattern.
