FUSION: The Ontario Clay and Glass Association is pleased to invite emerging visual artists to submit work for consideration to the Henry Goodman Exhibition for Emerging Artists. Work will be shown in collaboration with clay and glass pieces from FUSION members.
What does “gathering” mean to you? Show us pieces that reflect the theme of gathering and apply it in your artist statement to share the meaning in your work.
Are you wondering if you are an emerging artist? Here is FUSION's definition:
An emerging artist is an artist in the early stages of their professional career who is developing an artistic voice, building a focused body of work, and committing to a sustained practice in clay or glass.
Emerging artists may be formally trained or self-taught and are actively working toward presenting their work publicly through exhibitions, sales, commissions, residencies, teaching, or other professional opportunities.
They are beginning to gain visibility and recognition with a goal to have a presence in galleries, collections, or the broader art market.
Emerging status is not tied to age and is inclusive of artists at any stage in life who are newly establishing a professional identity.
FUSION invites submissions of paintings, collages and photography with a minimum dimension of 30" x 30".

FUSION manages all sales and applies a 40% commission; 60% is paid to the artist at the end of the show and once payment is received from the purchaser.
Artists are responsible for arranging insurance if desired. FUSION is not responsible for any damage or loss arising from the transportation, set-up, display, or storage of works.
Artists are responsible for shipping sold work to buyers.
Unsold work will be collected at the end of the exhibition. Artists are responsible for the retrieval of work from Neilson Park Creative Centre on or after October 11, 2026. More details will follow upon acceptance.
