Canadian Parents for French (CPF) is the national network of volunteers that values French as an integral part of Canada and which is dedicated to the promotion and creation of French as a Second Language learning opportunities for youth in Canada.
CPF Ontario is delighted to present the 2026 Concours d’art oratoire, the largest French public-speaking event for Gr. 9-12 students studying French as a Second Language (FSL) in Ontario. The 41st annual event will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at Glendon Campus, York University in Toronto. We are so looking forward to our next in-person event!
Our 41st annual Concours d’art oratoire is organized by the Ontario Modern Language Teachers’ Association and Canadian Parents for French (Ontario).
Students from Grades 9 through 12 studying French as a Second Language in Ontario schools participate in two divisions: Traditional and Impromptu speeches and the following four categories: Core, Extended, Immersion and Francophone. Students in Grades 9 through 12 participate in the competitive Traditional or Impromptu Concours format for cash prizes and scholarships!
