  • Hey there! I’m so excited that you’re interested in joining The Lifting Club😊.

    This program was created for women who already have the basics of lifting down and are ready to keep refining their skills while getting stronger along the way. The goal? To help you feel more confident, capable, and like a total badass every time you step into the gym.

    The Lifting Club is a monthly membership designed around progressive overload, so you’re continually building strength, confidence, and momentum- both in and out of the gym. You’ll train with intention, lift heavier over time, and walk away feeling strong, empowered, and proud of what your body can do.

    Sessions run Monday through Thursday at 4:30 and 6:00 PM, all out of my private studio located in Brantford, ON. After registering, you will be sent a follow-up e-mail with the address, a link to create an account and start booking your classes.

  • Health and Fitness Liability Waiver and Informed Consent 

    I have enrolled in a program offered through The Strength Girl located in Brantford, Ontario, Canada. I recognize that the program may involve strenuous physical activity including, but not limited to, muscle strength and endurance training, cardiovascular conditioning and training, and other various fitness activities. I hereby affirm that I am in good physical condition and do not suffer from any known disability or condition which would prevent or limit my participation in this exercise program. I acknowledge that my enrollment and subsequent participation is purely voluntary and is in no way mandated by The Strength Girl. In consideration of my participation in this program, I hereby release The Strength Girl and its agents from any claims, demands, and causes of action as a result of my voluntary participation and enrollment. I fully understand that I may injure myself as a result of my enrollment and subsequent participation in this program and I hereby release The Strength Girl and its agents from any liability now or in the future for conditions that I may obtain. These conditions may include, but are not limited to, heart attacks, strokes, muscle strains, muscle pulls, muscle tears, broken bones, shin splints, injuries to knees or other joints of the body, injuries to back, injuries to a foot, heat prostration, or any other illnesses or soreness that I may incur, including death.

  • Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire

    PAR-Q
  • Regular physical activity is fun and healthy, and increasingly more people are starting to become more active every day. Being more active is very safe for most people. However, some people should check with their doctor before they start becoming much more physically active.


    If you are planning to become much more physically active than you are now, start by answering the seven questions in the box below. If you are between the ages of 15 and 69, the PAR-Q will tell you if you should check with your doctor before you start. If you are over 69 years of age, and you are not used to being very active, check with your doctor.
    Common sense is your best guide when you answer these questions. Please read the questions carefully and answer each one honestly: check YES or NO.

  • If you answered YES to any of these questions, 

    Talk with your doctor by phone or in person BEFORE you start becoming much more physically active or BEFORE you have a fitness appraisal. Tell your doctor about the PAR-Q and which questions you answered YES.
    • You may be able to do any activity you want — as long as you start slowly and build up gradually. Or, you may need to restrict your activities to those which are safe for you. Talk with your doctor about the kinds of activities you wish to participate in and follow his/her advice.
    • Find out which community programs are safe and helpful for you.

  • If you answered NO to all of these questions, 

    • Start becoming much more physically active – begin slowly and build up gradually. This is the safest and easiest way to go.
    • Take part in a fitness appraisal – this is an excellent way to determine your basic fitness so that you can plan the best way for you to live actively. It is also highly recommended that you have your blood pressure evaluated. If your reading is over 144/94, talk with your doctor before you start becoming much more physically active.

    Delay becoming much more active:
    • if you are not feeling well because of a temporary illness such as a cold or a fever – wait until you feel better; or
    • if you are or may be pregnant – talk to your doctor before you start becoming more active. 

    PLEASE NOTE: If your health changes so that you then answer YES to any of the above questions, tell your fitness or health professional. Ask whether you should change your physical activity plan.

  • Note: This physical activity clearance is valid for a maximum of 12 months from the date it is completed and becomes invalid if your condition changes so that you would answer YES to any of the seven questions.

     

  • Contract Agreement

  • The initial membership commitment is 60 days and the Client understands that they are responsible for the agreed-upon service rate for the full length of the contract. Once the commitment has been fulfilled, the client may continue with their membership on a month-to-month basis and may cancel the program with 30 days’ written notice.

    Due to limited membership availability, the client may place their membership on hold for up to 30 days. After this 30-day hold period, the membership will automatically restart and continue. If the client is not ready to return after the 30 days, the membership will be cancelled until the client is ready to join at another time.

    The Coach is not responsible for any overdraft charges, over-limit charges, or NSF fees by your bank or credit card company. Fees for services must be prepaid. If after 5 days from a missed payment you have not made arrangements with the Coach to make up the payment, your services will be canceled and no fees will be refunded. 

    In the event of the Client’s absence, withdrawal, or non-participation in the program for any reason whatsoever, the Client will remain responsible for the full amount paid with no refund.

    Please note: This is a pre-purchase for the Lifting Club membership. After your initial pre-payment, if you chose the monthly payment plan option your subscription will officially begin on April 1st. On that date, you’ll receive an invoice where you can enter your payment details and save your credit card on file. This will allow your subscription to be charged automatically on a monthly or bi-weekly basis.

     

    If you choose the bi-weekly payment option, you will recieve an invoice two weeks after your after initial pre-payment. Then your next payment won't be until April 1st.
