How does this Work.

Instead of going somewhere in person, you’ll meet a notary on a secure video call (like Zoom, but special for notarization).
You’ll see and talk to them face-to-face on your screen.

🪪 2. You prove who you are
Before the video starts, the website will:

Ask you to upload a picture of your ID (like your driver’s license).
Ask a few security questions about you (for example, “Which of these streets have you lived on?”).
This helps confirm that you’re really you.

✍️ 3. You sign your document online
When the notary joins, they’ll make sure:

You understand what you’re signing,
You’re signing it on your own (not being forced), and
Your ID matches you.
Then you’ll click to sign the document right on your screen—no printing needed.

Type of Witness When You Need Them What They Do

Regular Witness For certain legal forms (like wills or contracts) Watches you sign and signs too. This can be anyone over the age of 18. You don't need to know who they are. They must have photo ID.

Credible Witness When you don’t have ID for notarization Vouches for your identity under oath and signs too. This person must know you. however wont gain anything from what you are signing. They must be over the age of 18. They must have photo ID.

Hi! Here’s what will happen when you join your online notarization on Notarize.com:

You’ll get an email from Notarize with a button or link to start. Click it to open the website.
Prove your identity

Once your ID is verified, you’ll connect with me on a live video call — like Zoom or FaceTime.

Get your notarized document
After we finish, your notarized document will be ready to download or email within a few minutes.
