    For NEW members only born in 2016 & 2017

    We are now offering some additional places in our Sunday 2.30pm Class which starts on 12th April 2026.  This class is for girls who were born in 2016 & 2017 only and not an additional class for existing club members.  

    This is for an 11 week term and the training fees are €126.50 for the term.  In addition there is an annual Gymnastics Ireland membership fee payable of €47 and insurance fee of €25 valid until 31st August 2026.

    We would ask you to please spend a while reading all the details below, including various links to additional information that you need to agree to, before completing the form.

  • Athlone Gymnastics Club is affiliated to Gymnastics Ireland. All members are required to agree to Gymnastics Ireland Mandatory Membership Agreement and Codes of Conduct below.

    Please note the following:

    • We operate a drop and collect system at the main entrance door, we do not have a waiting or viewing area as space does not allow for this and can be distracting for children and coaches
    • Please ensure children arrive and leave on time, ensuring that you collect them at the door and not ask them to run across a very busy car park
    • Children should only bring water to class
    • NUTS AND ALL NUT PRODUCTS ARE NOT PERMITTED IN THE GYM
    • Mobile phones should not be brought to class, if for any reason they have to be, they must be powered off whilst in the gym
    • Please ensure long hair is tied back, no jewellery, jeans, flared or wide pants, skirts, skorts, denim shorts, dresses, etc., only clothing suitable for sport should be worn i.e shorts, leggings, t-shirt.

    We do not tolerate abusive behaviour towards any of our gymnasts, staff members or volunteers. Any verbal, physical or emotional abuse may result in expulsion from the premises and membership cancelled.

    Safety within the gym: Under no circumstances are any children allowed to use the equipment without the specific instruction of their coaches.  This is especially important just before classes start or just after they finish.  Please advise your child of this rule which will again be reinforced by all coaches/management.

    Communications :- Please ensure that you read any and all communications sent to you, either by our primary Webtext messaging service 'Athlone Gym' (this is a no-reply system so please do not reply to it as it will not reach us) or more rarely by email.  If we are communicating something to you, it is important, therefore if you ignore it, you may miss important deadlines or information.  We also recommend that you Subscribe to the mailing list on our website www.athlonegymnasticsclub.ie and follow us on Facebook and Instagram.  We are aware that everyone is very busy and has lots of messages coming into their phones but we cannot be responsible for deadlines being missed or closures not noted once we have communicated it directly to members.  

    Attendance :- If your child cannot attend in any particular week, we are unable to switch them to another time/day in that week to make up for that absence.

    1: MEDICAL INFOMATION

     
    Medical information provided will be treated as private and confidential by both Gymnastics Ireland and relevant member club.

    I consent to the sharing of my child's personal medical data outlined above for the purposes of delivery of his/her safe participation in gymnastics and administering medical assistance if required.

    Not providing consent to share medical information will not affect your membership to the Club, however giving us consent to share this information will help volunteers and administrators to know how to respond effectively in the case of any medical emergency.

    2: MEMBERSHIP OPT-IN AGREEMENT


    By applying for membership of Gymnastics Ireland (GI) through a GI registered club I confirm the following:


    • I understand and agree to abide by the constitution, rules and policies of Gymnastics Ireland, including data protection policies, which can be viewed via the GI website via https://www.gymnasticsireland.com/about/structure-policy.

    • I understand and agree to the responsibilities which I have regarding these policies

    • I have read and understand the privacy notice which can be viewed via the GI website via https://www.gymnasticsireland.com/about/structure-policy/data-protection-privacy

    This details how GI will treat the personal data I have provided to GI and forms part of GI’s data protection policies which are designed to ensure my data is processed in accordance with data protection legislation

    *I confirm that I am not involved with the management or operation of any non-registered/connected gymnastics club(s) or programme(s) outside of the GI club network.

    • I agree to allow GI and my member club to contact me in relation to the promotion of the sport of gymnastics and GI member services

    • I agree to allow GI to contact me regarding the services of official GI partners

    • I agree for the club to provide me with updates regarding club activities such as competitions, training, meetings and club events such as fundraising activities and social occasions

    • I consent to photographs or video images being taken of me during my involvement in GI activities, which may be used to promote the sport by the club or Gymnastics Ireland.

    • I consent to the sharing of my personal medical data outlined above for the purposes of delivery of my safe participation in gymnastics and administering medical assistance if required

    • In the event of illness/injury, I give permission for medical treatment to be administered by a nominated first aider, or by suitably qualified medical practitioners. If my next of kin cannot be contacted and I require emergency hospital treatment, I authorise a qualified medical practitioner to provide emergency treatment or medication.

    In the event of an under 18 member, I, as legal parent/guardian, give my consent below.

  • I understand that it is the Club’s policy not to tolerate unacceptable behaviour from any gymnast towards fellow gymnasts, coaches, management, officials, opponents, parents, volunteers or any other Club members. The club's behaviour policy is available to read at Club Behaviour Policy  I have read and discussed the Behaviour Policy with my child who has agreed to abide by it.

  • I confirm that I have read the Code of Conduct for Parents available here Code of Conduct for Parents/Guardians and agree to abide by its contents at all times.

     

  • I confirm that I have read the Code of Conduct for Gymnasts here Code of Conduct for Young Gymnasts and will inform my child of same.  I agree my child will abide by its contents at all times.

  • Data Processing and Privacy

    By completing this form you are giving consent to the processing of the data contained therein.
