    LOCATION: Spacious Conference Room in Work Space Office in Midtown and Med Center on the 2nd floor (Address will be emailed to registered individuals only)

    OBJECTIVE: The Phlebotomy Instructor Course is designed exclusively for individuals who have a desire to become Phlebotomy Instructors and teach phlebotomy concepts and fundamentals to students.

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Qualified candidates will currently hold a phlebotomy certificate of completion, and must have at least (3) years of phlebotomy experience to participate. 

     INCLUDED IN COURSE FEE: 

     -Instructor training manual with teaching tips, class outlines, and evaluation tools

    -Curriculum development support to help structure lessons, labs, and exams
    -Guidance on student assessment & grading systems
    -Learn how to create and present engaging classroom demonstrations
    -Teaching strategies for adult learners and different learning styles
    -Learn how to conduct hands-on clinical training and competency checks
    -Instructor certification exam included
    -Teaching templates, checklists, and resources
    -Learn how to build confidence and authority as an educator
    -Guidance on classroom management & professionalism

    -A quick overview (20 minutes) on Texas accreditation requirements, state regulations, and best practices if you are interested in starting your own training school

    -Explore career and business opportunities and pathways at other training schools
    -Ongoing mentorship and support after certification

  • Deborah Young is an experienced Phlebotomy Educator and Specimen Collection Expert with over 19 years of hands-on experience in both clinical practice and phlebotomy education. Throughout her career, she has guided healthcare professionals in developing successful phlebotomy training programs, trained and certified new instructors, and helped more than 500 students achieve success on their national certification exams. Deborah is deeply passionate about empowering others to teach with confidence—providing them with the tools, strategies, and support needed to inspire and lead the next generation of phlebotomy professionals with excellence.

  • Phlebotomy Instructor courses are held in Downtown Houston, Midtown, or South Central Houston. Address will be emailed to attendees on October 23rd via email. Please not that no guests are allowed entry into the builder. Only those who have paid for the instructor course will be allowed to enter.
