As you've all heard me say many times, I live by the adage that it takes a village to raise a child. I consider the Flyers my village, and that we're all in this together to provide our children the best outcomes and opportunities available. Hence the motto "Together We Fly!" I would love for ALL of our young athletes to have the same opportunities, but when those opportunities involve obstacles that make the ability to succeed nearly insurmountable, I turn to you, our village.
The Flyers are home to children from diverse backgrounds. Many families in our program already struggle to support their basic needs, and sadly many youth athletes on our team also work to help support their families. Travel expenses have increased drastically in recent years due to venue locations, inflation, and demand. This in turn makes it more difficult for many, but makes it impossible for those who come from limited means.
The Minnesota Flyers and The Junior Olympics offer youth the opportunity to demonstrate their potential on the national track, opens doors to the possibilities of a higher education, and provides the chance to achieve a future young athletes never knew they could have. Your support would mean the world to a hard-working and deserving athlete!!
