    T&Cs

    1. Eligibility
Open to photographers of all levels, aged 18 and over (or with guardian consent if under 18). Entrants may submit up to five (5) original images. Submitted work must be created by the entrant and must not infringe on any third-party rights.

    2. Entry & Fees
Each submitted image requires a non-refundable $10 administration fee. Deadline for submissions is midnight on Sunday, 28 September 2025. Late or incomplete entries may not be accepted.

    3. Submission Guidelines
We encourage images that reflect life in the Bega Valley—candid, unmanipulated, and authentic. AI-generated or composite images will not be accepted. Minor adjustments (e.g. brightness, contrast, cropping) are allowed. Submit JPEG or PNG files, max 5MB. Finalists must provide high-resolution versions for print.

    4. Judging Process
Stage One: A blind online panel selects finalists.  All judging decisions are final.

    5. Finalist Recognition
Finalist images will be printed and exhibited in Carp Street shopfronts. Each finalist will receive a $400 artist fee. Finalist numbers are based on the number of available shopfronts confirmed by South East Arts.

    6. Exhibition Terms
Prints will be internally displayed in shopfronts at a consistent size determined by South East Arts in consultation with hosts. South East Arts will manage all printing and installation; no further input from the photographer is required. Prints may be archived, returned (local pickup only), or responsibly recycled if not collected within 30 days of exhibition close.

    7. Copyright & Permissions
Photographers retain copyright. By entering, you grant South East Arts and Bega Streetlight Festival a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to exhibit and promote your work, including digital and print use for non-commercial festival promotion and funder reporting.

    8. Privacy
Personal information is used only for competition administration. Entrants may opt-in for future communications from South East Arts.

    9. Cancellations or Changes
Organisers reserve the right to amend or cancel any aspect of the competition due to unforeseen circumstances. Finalist fees will still be honored if the exhibition is cancelled post-judging. Entry fees are non-refundable unless full cancellation occurs before judging.
