'Surface' Ceramic Award 2026

North Coast Ceramics award for contemporary ceramic excellence
Open to all ceramicists and sculptors residing in Australia
- Artists to provide an Artist's Statement
- Artist to provide 3 JPEG Images (max 5MB each) of submitted work (Front, Side, Back). Photos to be labelled with surname and artwork title eg: smith_haze.
- Work to be at least 70% ceramic and a maximum size of 1000mm x 1000mm
- Work to weigh less than 20kgs.
- Work not to have been a finalist in a previous award.
- Work not to be made before 1/1/2025
- Artists may submit more than one entry, with each entry to have a separate entry form, incurring a separate entry fee of $40.
- North Coast Ceramics takes a 25% commission on sales.
- Artists will be notified by email when pieces are short-listed.
- Work to be shipped to be sent to: North Coast Ceramics c/- Billinudgel Post Office, 2B Wilfred Street, Billinudgel. NSW. 2483
- Unsold works to be collected in person on Sunday, 1 February 2026 (between 10am – 4pm).
- Interstate artists work will shipped back at the expense of the artist, after payment of the NCC invoice that will be sent at the end of the exhibition.
- NCC takes all care but no responsibility for your works.
- Local finalist artists are requested to contribute to gallery staffing during the exhibition dates

- Finalists Announced: Notified via email – Thursday, 2 January 2026
- Exhibition Opening Night: 6pm Friday, 23rd January 2026
- Exhibition Ends: Sunday 1st February 2026
- Delivery of Work: Thursday, 22nd January 2026 (between 8am – 4pm)
- Works delivered by post: Friday 16th January 2026
- Collection of Unsold Work: Sunday, 1 February 2026 (between 10am – 4pm)

Public Liability

Please note that all applicants must have a valid Public Liability Certificate of Currency for the duration of the NCC Award exhibition. Finalists will be asked to provide their Public Liability Certificate of Currency prior to delivering their works for exhibition.
