PLBC Indoor Short Mat Tournament

Location & Schedule

YMCA Beaverton - 9785 SW Harvest Ct, Beaverton, OR 97005

• 8:15 am - Arrival/Setup
• 9:00 am - Tournament begins/draw
• 9:30am - Game start
• TBD - Lunch
• 5:00 pm - Must exit YMCA

PLBC Short Mat Tournament

• Target of 24 Participants 
  • **We need an even number of participants for this tournament, if the final participant number is odd, the last person to sign up will need to sit out**
• 4 mats of 3 Bowl Triples - Bowlers randomly assigned

Format

• 4 games, plus a final; top 4 bowlers will qualify for the final.  
• 10 ends
• Each game will be time limited to 60 minutes.

Scoring

• 3 points for a win
• 1 point for a tie
• Plus Points - 1 Plus Point for 5-9 point margin of victory;  2 plus points for 10  or greater point margin of victory; max 2 Plus Points

Final

• At the end of round robin play the top four will play a final  match: 1-4 vs 2-3
• If the playoff is tied at the end of 10 ends, the game will go into a sudden death additional end
• If time allows, the final will not be capped at 60 minutes

Eligibility and Entrance Fees

• All players with experience lawn bowing, all skill levels welcome,
  regardless of club membership
• Entry fee is $30/person, payable upon registration completion

Payout of Entry Fees

• Off the top: 50% to PLBC development
• First Place Team: 60% of remaining balance to winner
• Secoond Place Team: 40% of remaining balance to runner-up

PLBC Liability & Photo Waiver

I waive all claims that might be had against the Portland Lawn Bowling Club (PLBC), it’s hired or contracted instructors, and their employees and agents, for any and all injuries or losses which may be suffered because of my participation in activities offered by the PLBC.
I give my  permission to have my photo taken during activities to be used for publicity purposes by PLBC. I consent to the use of my name, likeness and voice  without monetary compensation in connection with any PLBC publicity, and expressly release PLBC and it’s agents from any and all claims for damages for libel, slander, invasion of the right of privacy and any other claim arising out of any broadcast, exhibition or advertising of PLBC.
